Situation of the COVID-19 pandemic that went across the world in early 2020 has resulted in lasting wide-scale changes at the community, societal, national and international levels which has a broad and profound effect to people at all ages, professions, statuses and various dimensions of life. The impactful changes just went beyond public health issues to economic, business, political, social, personal life, international relations, just for examples. To the extent that the IMF has warned that the outbreak of Covid-19 shall make the world face the most hard-hit economic recession since the Great Depression in 1929 and the damage is possible to last for 2 years until the vaccine is found for COVID prevention. Understanding “the Pandemic New Normal” in the context of COVID-19 and future possible pandemic is very important for nation-building endeavour. A need for finding beyond a superficial answer is deemed necessary and timely. Thus, the International Conference on Nation-Building (ICNB) aims to ponder on some critical big questions: How will the world and our life change after the outbreak of Covid-19? How will our normal way of living and doing business be affected? What are the most appropriate measures that government, business and people should do to help country get recovery and propel their “desired future” in light of the vision for nation-building? How could public, private and people sectors work together to build a country regain its strengths and move forward? The Conference will bring together thousand delegates represented by local, regional and international leaders and experts, from North America, Europe, Africa, Latin America, Pacific, Asia and ASEAN, to discuss issues pertaining to nation-building and the pandemic new normal. This conference is vital to the development of an eco-system that supports people to search for solutions relating to current and future consequences of the pandemic and new normal way of living. It aims at galvanizing partnership from multi-key stakeholders to capacitate human capital in becoming quality persons who can shape their country toward a civilized nation.
