“Post-Crisis Nation-Building Strategies in the World of Flux”
8 - 9 December 2022
Bangkok, Thailand
The COVID-19 pandemic spread rapidly across the world during 2020 and has since continued unabated. The several mutations of the virus have caused serious concern and have made the pandemic difficult to predict. Each country has put its full efforts into the vaccination of its citizens aiming to gain herd immunity but the COVID-19 pandemic is far from over and it is unlikely to be the last pandemic we experience. It is generally accepted that we must adapt so that we be able to live with this virus and learn how to best protect ourselves. The world needs to move to the next stage of living with the pandemic – the post-crisis era. The International Conference on Nation-Building (ICNB) 2022 is based on the theme “Post-Crisis Nation-Building Strategies in the World of Flux”. The post-pandemic world is bringing major changes and affects all aspects of life. It requires a new way of thinking about what leaders in the public, private and people sectors should do in order to find solutions in the world of flux. The ICNB 2022 aims to address some essential questions:
- What will the world outlook be in 2023?
- What should we do with to combat the effects of pandemic in terms of poverty and inequalities in light of the post-crisis stage?
- What will be the future models of education, learning and employment that suit the world of flux, always being conscious that a pandemic could occur again?
- How could we design urban and rural development for the Pandemic Era in the World of Flux?
- What would be the most effective measures to revitalise the tourism sector for nation-building in the post-pandemic world?
- How could the future of trade, investment and the global supply chain be reconfigured to enhance nation-building efforts in the world of flux?
- What should we do to enhance the resilience of both large and micro-small-medium enterprises so that they have the capacity to support nation-building in the context of the world of flux?
- What have been the obstacles of global cooperation in fighting the pandemic and how do we solve them for future crises?
The conference will bring together thousands of delegates represented by local, regional, and international leaders and experts, from North America, Europe, Africa, Australia & Oceania, Latin America, and Asia, to discuss issues pertaining to nation-building and crisis recovery. This conference is vital to the development of an eco-system that supports people in the search for solutions relating to the post-crisis era and strategies for sustained recovery in the world of flux.
